Geisha #3 Scrimshaw

Original Image
This picture shows my next choice, #3 in a set of 5 – a Japanese Geisha in a woodblock print style. It was inspired by a friend David Adams (a fellow scrimshaw artist).
It will be scrimshawed on a piece of fossil Mammoth Ivory. The weight is 22 grams, 6cm wide at the base and 6cm high.
Step 1 – 15/4/21
Here is the Ivory polished and ready to begin the scrimshaw.

Step 5 – 10/5/21
I have decided to put all five Geisha Scrimshaws on the same base. I fashioned the base from Rosewood with a Mammoth Ivory nameplate.
