Thirsty Lioness Scrimshaw

This lioness is my next choice. The Mammoth Ivory has deep cracks, but it still deserves to be Scrimshawed. It weighs 77 grams and measures 8cm wide x 6.5cm high, which should be a nice compact piece.

Step 1 – 24/2/20

This picture shows the Ivory polished and ready for the picture to be attached so the outline can be cut. It has a few cracks but that should be alright.

Step 4 – 26/2/20

Here’s the finished scrimshaw. I’ll move on to the stand next.

Step 7 – 29/2/20

I’m not sure what the wood I’ve used for the base is, I found it lying around. I’ve made the nameplate from Mammoth Ivory.
