Alert Tiger
I’ve chosen this Tiger picture for my next Scrimshaw. His stance is impressive, maybe he’s checking out dinner. The ivory is tall and quite narrow. By cropping and adjusting the picture, it should fit nicely.
The Ivory I’m using is ancient Mammoth Ivory from North America. I bought this from “Boon Trading” many years ago.
It weighs 74 grams and measures 5cm wide x 15cm high.

This picture shows the outline cut and black oil paint applied. Next, I will do the black areas.

This picture shows the black background finished. Next, I’ll fill in the background palm leaves.

This picture shows the black background finished and the palm leaves added. Next, I’ll complete the tiger.
