My next Scrimshaw is a tiger in the dappled light lapping water.
I’ll use this piece of ancient Mammoth Ivory. It weighs 93 grams and measures 12.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm high.
Step 1 – 14/10/20
This picture shows the Mammoth ivory polished and ready for the picture to be attached. There are a few marks on the surface, but it should turn out nicely.

This picture shows the picture attached to the Ivory ready for the outline to be cut.

This picture shows the outline cut and black oil paint applied. Next, I will do the black areas.

This picture shows the black areas filled in which was very time-consuming.

This picture shows the yellow rocky background filled in. Next, I’ll fill in the green leaves.
