Siberian Tiger Scrimshaw

This is my next scrimshaw. The Ivory is fossilised Mammoth and weighs 92 grams and measures 12cm wide x 9cm high.

Step 1 – 24/5/21

This picture shows the Ivory polished and ready for the picture to be attached so the outline can be cut.

Step 2 – 24/5/21

This picture shows the picture attached to the Ivory ready for the outline to be cut.

Step 3 – 25/5/21

This picture shows the outline cut and black oil paint applied. Next, I will do the black areas.

Step 4 – 28/5/21

This picture shows the background finished. Next, I’ll add the Tiger.

Step 5 – 31/5/21

The Scrimshaw of the Siberian Tiger is finished. Next, I’ll make a stand.

Step 6 – 31/5/21

The stand is Rose Wood and has a Mammoth Ivory nameplate.
